Key Takeaways
- Leaks seemingly confirm Ororon as a 4-Star Electro Bow and Citlali as a 5-Star Cryo Catalyst in upcoming Genshin Impact versions.
- Ororon's rarity shift may disappoint fans, but Citlali's potential as a Shield Support is a win for Cryo element enthusiasts.
- This also seems to confirm that Madame Ping won't debut in Lantern Rite 2025.
A recent leak finally confirms the rarity, element, and weapon type of Ororon and Citlali in Genshin Impact, while also outlining the character release order up to Version 5.4. The release of a new region in Genshin Impact always carries excitement, as it is often accompanied by the reveal of a brand-new cast of characters. It doesn't take long for fan favorites to emerge, and they may not always be the characters that HoYoverse anticipated would become popular.
While Capitano and Mavuika have made the biggest wave on social media, other standouts among the Natlan characters in Genshin Impact include Kinich, Xilonen, Ororon, and Citlali. Though the former two are scheduled to launch in the coming weeks as 5-Star characters, the status of the latter two very much remains in limbo. Previous information had painted both Ororon and Citlali as 4-Star characters, set to debut in Version 5.2 and Version 5.3, but it would appear the developers at HoYoverse have changed their minds.

Genshin Impact Leaks Banner Characters for Version 5.1
A recent Genshin Impact leak outlines the 5-Star characters that will be accompanying Xilonen in Version 5.1, including some unexpected surprises.
As explained by Iris Leaks and confirmed by FouL, one of these Genshin Impact characters will be a 5-Star instead. Ororon will join Chasca in Version 5.2 as a 4-Star Electro Bow, while Citlali will feature alongside Mavuika in Version 5.3 as a 5-Star Cryo Catalyst. Though Genshin Impact players will no doubt be disappointed about Ororon's rarity, there is a chance that HoYoverse will make him a sub-DPS or Support, given that Sethos released merely a few updates prior.
Genshin Impact Release Order for Natlan Characters
Character | Type | Release |
---|---|---|
Mualani | 5-Star Hydro Catalyst | 5.0 |
Kachina | 4-Star Geo Polearm | 5.0 |
Kinich | 5-Star Dendro Claymore | 5.0 |
Xilonen | 5-Star Geo Sword | 5.1 |
Chasca | 5-Star Anemo Bow | 5.2 |
Ororon | 4-Star Electro Bow | 5.2 |
Mavuika | 5-Star Pyro Claymore | 5.3 |
Citlali | 5-Star Cryo Catalyst | 5.3 |
On the other hand, this is a major victory for Citlali fans and potentially the Cryo element as a whole. Assuming Citlali's ability kit in Genshin Impact remains unchanged, she would become the third Shield Support 5-Star and likely an upgrade over Layla. As a fortune-teller of Mictlan, Citlali's tribe is expected to be featured in the next Natlan map expansion, and players will be able to learn more about her before she makes her way to the Event Banners in Version 5.3.
Curiously, the rarity change of Citlan also confirms that Madame Ping will not make her playable debut during the Lantern Rite in 2025 and will instead be released in a future update, similar to Baizhu in Genshin Impact. While anything past Version 5.3 remains a mystery, Genshin Impact players now have a perfect idea of which characters to expect over the course of Natlan's Archon Quest. Version 5.2 for Genshin Impact is expected to launch in late November 2024.
